When harvesting apples by hand, a stalk is often left protruding from the fruit. In some apple varieties, this stalk can cause punctures in other fruits during the
whole post-harvest process.
On the other hand, the use of shears that have not been specially designed for apples may cause wounds in the skin of the fruit due to the fact that the blades do not adapt to the shape of this fruit.
Our models for harvesting apples are adapted to their shape, managing to cut the stalk deep enough so that it does not damage other fruit, without damaging the skin at the time of cutting.
The curvature of the handles allows the shears to enter the cut at the right angle, making it easier for the worker.
